CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-006
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF SMIC DOLPHIN MOORAGES AND
REPAIRS AT THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1989, the city advertised a request
for bids to construct dolphins for moorages at SMIC and to repair
several piles and the grid in the small boat harbor; and
WHEREAS, three bids were received; and
WHEREAS, Construction & Rigging, Inc., submitted the low bid
for the project; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project was budgeted from the State
Bonds funds for the Small Boat Harbor for the dolphins and from the
Harbor Fund for repairs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract for construction of the SMIC dolphin moorages and repairs
to the piles and grid in the Small Boat Harbor to Construction &
Rigging, Inc. for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Eight
Thousand Dollars ($108,000) with a contingency amount of Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Dollars (7,560) for a total project
amount of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Dollars
($115,560).
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 22nd day of January, 1990.
