CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO CONSTRUCTION AND
RIGGING, INC. TO DESIGN AND BUILD A 250 TON TRAVELIFT DOCK AT
THE SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER
WHEREAS, requests for proposals to design and build a 250 Ton
Travelift dock were publicly advertised in three separate places
on February 1, 1990; and
WHEREAS, three contractors responded to the request with
acceptable proposals; and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by Construction and Rigging,
Inc. was found to be least costly and to provide an acceptable
dock; and
WHEREAS, Construction and Rigging, Inc. has performed other
work in an acceptable manner for the city of Seward;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred, Fifty Thousand
Dollars, to Construction and Rigging, Inc. to design and build a
250 Ton Travelift dock in the Seward Marine Industrial Center.
Section 2. A total proposal amount of Four Hundred Seventy
Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars, is authorized including a
contingency of five percent equalling Twenty-Two Thousand, Five
Hundred Dollars.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 27th day of March, 1990.
