RESOLUTION 2000-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, CLOSING OUT THE HARBOR BOARDWALK LEASE
IMPROVEMENTS CAPITAL PROJECT BY APPROPRIATING $29,494.63
FROM THE SMALL BOAT HARBOR ENTERPRISE FUND TO THE
HARBOR BOARDW ALK LEASE IMPROVEMENTS CAPITAL PROJECT
FUND AND $29,494.63 FROM THE HARBOR BOARDWALK LEASE
IMPROVEMENTS CAPITAL PROJECT FUND TO THE WATER/SEWER
ENTERPRISE FUND
WHEREAS, on January 10, 2000, Council approved resolution no. 2000-004 closing
out the Harbor Boardwalk Lease Improvements Capital Project; and
WHEREAS, in closing the fund for this project and in preparation of the financial
audit for the six-month period ending December 31, 1999, the [mance department discovered
that not enough funds had been appropriated from the Small Boat Harbor Enterprise Fund
(SBH) to the capital project to cover the Harbor's share of the water/sewer improvements; and
WHEREAS, this does not change the total cost of the project of $305,345 already
approved, nor does it change the amounts allocated to the Harbor Boardwalk leases; and
WHEREAS, the SBH's share ofthe total costs of $305,345 is $151,088.60 of which
$53,577.80 will be recouped from the Harbor Boardwalk leases and $26,023.88 will be recouped
from the lease of the Lions Club site; and
WHEREAS, the SBH had contributed a total of$121,593.97 to the project and an
additional appropriation of $29,464.63 is needed to close out the Harbor Boardwalk Lease
Improvements Capital Project Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Water/Sewer Enterprise Fund contributed $120,193.03 which is
$29,464.63 too much and should be reimbursed from the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Harbor Boardwalk Lease Improvements Capital Project Fund be closed
out by appropriating $29,494.63 from the Small Boat Harbor Enterprise Fund, account no.
401-0000-3071-0703, to the Harbor Boardwalk Lease Improvements Capital Project Fund,

account no. 703-0000-3071-0000; and appropriating $29,494.63 from the Harbor Boardwalk
Lease Improvements Capital Project Fund, account no. 703-0000-3071-0701 to the
Water/Sewer Enterprise Fund, account no. 701-0000-3071-0000; effective for the fiscal period
ending December 31, 1999.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 13th
day of March, 2000.
