<br />Cityof&wani.Ala.rka <br />Janumy 13,1999 <br /> <br />Port andCornmerce Advisory Buard A/inuies <br />Volume 3, Page 30 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The January 13, J 999 regular meeting ofthe Seward Port and Commerce Advisory Board was <br />called to order at 12:06 noon by Chairman Ron Long. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />There were present: <br /> <br />Ron Long, presiding, and <br />Willard Dunham <br />Jack Goodwill <br /> <br />Deborah Altermatt <br />Richard Goshorn <br /> <br />The following boardmember arrived after the roll call: <br /> <br />Doug Lechner, Vice Chairman <br />Dean Kasischke <br /> <br />comprising a quorum of the Board; and <br /> <br />Tylan Schrock, Assistant City Manager <br />Judi Sweeney, Board Secretary <br /> <br />ABSENT were: <br /> <br />James Pruitt (excused) <br />Sharon Anderson <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> <br />Administration Report (Taken out of order by Chairman Long) <br /> <br />Tylan Schrock, Assistant City Manager asked that the board appoint someone to the Spring <br />Creek Correctional Task Force recruiting a PACAB member. He said the newly appointed task force <br />would address the problems facing the prison and other major employers in the area such all housing, <br />employment security, etc. With the board's unanimous vote Willard Dunham was elected as the <br />representative of the PACAB to the sece Task Force. <br /> <br />Kasischke and Lechner arrived at 12: 10 p.m. <br /> <br />Goshorn said that he would like to see something from the Harbor Port and Conunerce <br />asking the City to pass a resolution stating that they will support the harbor when it is transferred to <br />the City. Goshorn felt that if the city needed to recognize the transfer with a resolution. The public <br />needs to see a resolution of support from the council. Goshorn spoke <br />
