<br />Sponsored by Staff <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2S::08 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD THE CON- <br />TRACT FOR PHASE II OF THE SEWARD HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN TO TIM <br />SCZA WINSKI AND MADEL YN WALKER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Historic Preservation Commission to develop <br />a historic preservation plan that will include provisions for the identification, protection and <br />interpretation of the area's significant resources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Seward applied for and was awarded a matching grant totalling <br />$7503.00 from the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor <br />Recreation, State Historic Preservation Office, to complete the Seward Historic Preservation Plan; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a request for proposals for professional services to complete phase II of the <br />Seward Historic Preservation Plan was published in the Seward Phoenix Log on May 18, 1995; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a joint proposal, meeting the requirements of the project budget, scope of <br />work and professional qualifications, was received by Tim Sczawinski and Madelyn Walker on <br />June 2, 1995; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Historic Preservation <br />Commission that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award the contract for phase II of <br />the Seward Historic Preservation Plan to Tim Sczawinski and Madelyn Walker. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Historic Preservation Commission this 21st <br />day of June, 1995. <br />
