<br />Sponsored by Staff <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22:JM <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br />COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL PLACE <br />TWO LAKES PARK ON THE SEWARD REGISTER OF HISTORIC <br />PLACES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council Ordinance No. 95-10, established the Seward Register of <br />Historic Places in order to locally recognize properties important in Seward's history; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an application to place Two Lakes Park on the Seward Register of Historic <br />Places has been prepared for review and recommendation to the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Two Lakes Park is significant for its association with early recreation in <br />Seward. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Historic Preservation <br />Commission that: <br /> <br />Section 1. Two Lakes Park is eligible for placement on the Seward Register of Historic <br />Places as a property associated with historic events or persons of local and state significance. <br /> <br />Section 2. It is hereby recommended that the City Council place Two Lakes Park on the <br />Seward Register of Historic Places. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Historic Preservation Commission this 21st <br />day of April, 1999. <br /> <br />THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />
