PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 91-010
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL
APPROVE AMENDMENTS TO SCC ~ 15.10.140 AND
~ 15.10.225 REGARDING KENNELS AND LIVESTOCK
WHEREAS, the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission has conducted
two public hearings on proposed changes to the Zoning Code
regarding kennels and livestock in the city of Seward; and
WHEREAS, the operation of kennels and ~~e keeping of livestock
within the city have a potentially nega.t.ive effect on adjacent
property values and the quality of life/~ithin neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the Commission finds t~f it is appropriate to limit
kennels and livestock to more rur 1 locations where there is
sufficient property to accommodate; his use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES~ED by the Seward Planning and
Zoning Commission that: /
Section 1. The Seward y{ty Council is urged to introduce and
enact an ordinance regulati~g kennels and livestock in the city of
Seward in accordance w~1h the administrative recommendations
attached and incorporate;Yherein by reference.
Section 2. This r~olution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
