<br />Sponsored by Staff <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-012 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING <br />COMMISSION, GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />BRAD SNOWDEN FOR DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION OF A HOTEL <br />ON ALASKA RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY WITHIN THE SMALL BOAT <br />HARBOR AS AUTHORIZED BY ~ 15.10.320 OF THE SEWARD CITY CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Brad Snowden has requested a Conditional Use Permit for <br />development and operation of a hotel on Alaska Railroad right of way within the Small <br />Boat Harbor area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an application meeting the requirements of City Code ~ 15.10.320 B. <br />was submitted and received on April 15, 1993; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is located on land zoned Harbor Commercial; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly advertised public hearing, meeting the requirements of City <br />Code ~ 15.01.040 was held by the Commission on May 5, 1993, and a second public <br />hearing was conducted on June 2,1993; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning <br />Commission that: <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />Section 1. The proposed use satisfies the conditions specified in SCC ~ 15.10.320 <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to issue a Conditional Use Permit <br />to Brad Snowden for the development and operation of a hotel on Alaska Railroad Right <br />of Way within the Seward Small Boat Harbor area immediately north of J Dock fire lane <br />access and subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. A more detailed dimensioned site plan, coordinated with the city and the <br />Alaska Railroad, will be submitted to the Commission for further review, comments and <br />possible conditions. The plan must show: <br /> <br />1. specific street and sidewalk realignment; <br /> <br />2. impact on passenger rail spur length; <br />
