HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1994-011 Sponsored by Jones CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 94-011 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SEWARD CITY CODE ~ 15.10.225, LAND USES ALWWED TABLE WHEREAS, the addition of the Urban Residential district to the zoning code necessitates an amendment to the Land Uses Allowed section of the Seward City Code; and WHEREAS, the table of allowed land uses is the heart of the zoning code as it establishes what uses are allowed in each zoning district and how those uses are allowed; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the community to review and update the Land Uses Allowed Table to reflect community changes and changes in business opportunities; and WHEREAS, the proposed table represents an overall review of the land uses within the community; and WHEREAS, the review and development of the Land Uses Allowed Table involved many publicly noticed work sessions; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission that: Section 1. The attached proposed ordinance amending Seward City Code ~ 15.10.225, Land Uses Allowed Table, is recommended for introduction and enactment by the Seward City Council. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 1st day of June, 1994. THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA Sponsored by: Jones CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA ORDINANCE NO. 94- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING SEWARD CITY CODE ~15.10.225 LAND USES ALLOWED WHEREAS, the addition of the Urban Residential district to the zoning code necessitates reference corrections elsewhere in the code; and WHEREAS, the table of allowed land uses is the heart of the zoning code as it establishes not only what uses are allowed in each zoning district, but how those uses are allowed; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the community to review and update the land uses table to reflect community changes as well as changes in business opportunities. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA HEREBY ORDAINS that: Section 1. Seward City Code SI5.10.225B is amended to add "II" to the list of residential types. Section 2. Seward City Code SI5.10.225 is amended to incorporate a new and revised, Table 15.10.225 Land Uses Allowed, attached and incorporated herewith by reference. Section 3.
