CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 26:OZ
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING THE SEWARD CITY
COUNCIL AMEND THE SEWARD LAND USE PLAN AND ZONING FOR
LOTS BE, BF, BG, BK & BL, FOREST ACRES SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, property owners of the above listed parcels have initiated a land use plan and
zoning change for the above titled properties to Rural Residential; and
WHEREAS, the immediate surrounding current and projected uses are compatible with
the requested very low density single family residential district; and
WHEREAS, land use plan and zoning changes may be initiated by petition of a majority
of the property owners in the area to be amended
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The attached proposed ordinance, incorporated herein by reference, IS
forwarded to the City Council for adoption.
Section 2.
This resolution shall take effect immediately after its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 5th
day of June, 1996.

ORDINANCE NO. 96-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE SEWARD LAND USE PLAN
AND ZONING FOR LOTS BE, BF, BG, BK & BL
FOREST ACRES SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, property owners of the above listed parcels have initiated a land use plan and
zoning change for the above titled properties to Rural Residential; and
WHEREAS, the immediate surrounding current and projected uses are compatible with
the requested very low density single family residential district; and
WHEREAS, land use plan and zoning changes may be initiated by petition of a majority
of the property owners in the area to be amended; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has approved Resolution No. 96-07
recommending the code amendments included in this ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. The Seward Land Use Plan is hereby amended as follows:
A. The Land Use Designation for Lots BE, BF, BG, BK and BL, Forest Acres
Subdivision is changed from Single-family Residential to Rural Residential; and
Section 2.
The Seward Zoning Map is hereby amended as follows:
B. The Zoning Designation for Lots BE, BF, BG, BK and BL, Forest Acres
Subdivision is changed from Single-family Residential (Rl) to Rural Residential (RR).
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days following its enactment.
ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, this
