<br />Sponsored by Staff <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-07 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING <br />COMMISSION, GRANTING A SECOND SIXTH MONTH EXTENSION TO THE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ISSUED TO DANIEL CLAUGUS FOR THE <br />DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION OF A HOTEL COMPLEX ON LOT I5B, JESSE LEE <br />HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, ADDITION NO.4 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Claugus was granted a Conditional Use Permit by Resolution No. 96- <br />05 for development and operation of a hotel complex on Lot 15B, Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 6, 1996, the Commission approved Resolution No. 96-20, <br />granting Mr. Claugus a sixth month extension of the Conditional Use Permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 17, 1997, Mr. Claugus submitted a letter requesting an additional <br />six month extension of the permit to allow time for completing the Environmental Survey of the <br />property which was required by the lending institution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, SCC ~ 15.10.320 E. allows the Planning and Zoning Commission to grant <br />extensions not to exceed six months each upon a finding that the circumstances have not changed <br />sufficiently to warrant a reconsideration of the approval of the Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning <br />Commission that: <br /> <br />Section 1. Circumstances do not appear to have changed sufficiently to warrant a <br />reconsideration of the approval of the Conditional Use Permit granted to Daniel Claugus for <br />development of a hotel complex on Lot 15B, Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision, Addition NO.4. <br /> <br />Section 2. Daniel Claugus is hereby granted a six-month extension through November 6, <br />1997, of the Conditional Use Permit authorized by Seward Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Resolution No. 96-05. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 7th <br />day of May, 1997. <br />
