<br />Sponsored by Staff <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 21=.l.S <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING <br />COMMISSION, RATIFYING THE AUGUST 6, 1997, DECISION TO GRANT JAMES <br />MCCRACKEN A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND A BUILDING SETBACK <br />VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN EIGHT UNIT, MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING ON <br />LOTS 21-24, BLOCK 12, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF SEWARD, LOCATED AT 104 <br />WASHINGTON STREET, WITHIN THE URBAN RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James McCracken applied for a conditional use permit and a variance to <br />develop an eight unit multi-family dwelling on Lots 21-24, Block 12, Original Townsite of <br />Seward; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is zoned Urban Residential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, according to the Zoning Code, Land Uses Allowed Table, (15.10.225) a <br />multi-family dwelling (3 or more units) is allowed in the Urban Residential District by <br />Conditional Use Permit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly advertised public hearing, meeting the requirements of SCC Section <br />15.01.040 was held by the Commission on August 6, 1997 and September 3, 1997. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning <br />Commission that: <br /> <br />Section 1. In accordance with SCC ~ 15.10.320 (D), the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission has reviewed the applicant's request for a conditional use permit (CUP) to construct <br />a multi-family dwelling in the Urban Residential District and made the following findings of fact <br />and conclusions: <br /> <br />A. A completed application andfee was submitted. The completed application <br />was received by the Community Development Department on July 8, 1997. <br /> <br />B. The use is consistent with the purpose of this chapter and the purposes of <br />the zoning district. <br /> <br />Zoning. The property is zoned Urban Residential. The Zoning Code allows a multi-family <br />dwelling (3 or more units) in the Urban Residential District by conditional use permit. <br />
