RESOLUTION NO. 2005-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION RECOMMENDING KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH
APPROVAL OF LOTS 3, 4 AND 5, BLOCK 9, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF
SEWARD, LINDSEY REPLAT NUMBER 4
WHEREAS, Dale and Carol Lindsey have submitted a preliminary plat for the purpose of
the re-subdivision of Lots 3, 4 and 5, Block 9, Seward Original Townsite to the City of Seward for
review and recommendation to the Kenai Peninsula Borough; and
WHEREAS, this platting action vacates the interior lot lines of Lots 3 and 4, Block 9 Seward
Original Townsite which creates the single Lot 3A and shifts the North lot line of Lot Slot line to the
North, creating Lot 5A; and
WHEREAS, the property is zoned Central Business District; and
WHEREAS, the minimum lot sizes and widths as required by Code are met; and
WHEREAS, the property is currently serviced by municipal water, sewer, electric and other
utilities; and
WHEREAS, City staff have stated that a subdivision installation agreement is not required
for this re-subdivision; and
WHEREAS, as required by Seward City Code Section 16.01.015 Conditions to plat
approval, property owners within 300 feet of the Lots 3, 4 and 5, Block 9, Original Townsite of
Seward Subdivision were notified of the proposed subdivision, and the property was posted with a
public notice sign.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The Commission recommends that the Kenai Peninsula Borough approve the
Seward Original Townsite Lindsey Replat Number 4, a resubdivision of Lots 3, 4 and 5, Block 9,
Seward Original Townsite of Seward as submitted.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
