WHEREAS, the

desires to make

formal application to the Auditor of Alaska ( herein called
the llTerritorial Agency"), for inclusion of its eligible
employees in an agreement between the Territory of Alaska
and the Federal Security Administrator for the coverage of
suc~, eligible employees under the insurance system established
by Title 11 of the Federal Social Security Act, as amended,
in confo~mity with Section 218 thereof, and implemented by
Chapter 95, Session Laws of Alaska 1951, and applicable
Federal and Territorial regulations thereunder; and
iffiEREAS, the political Subdivision desires to file
such application and to enter into an agreement with the
Territorial Agency containing terms and conditions whereby
the Territorial Agency will take the necessary steps to
extend to such eligible employees coverage under the said
insurance system on behalf of the Political Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, a form of application and agreement between
the Territorial Agency and the Political Subdivision contain-
ing the terms and conditions for the inclusion by the
Territorial Agency of the said eligible employees under the
coverage of said insurance system on behalf of the Political
Subdivision has been submitted to this body for consideration
and action;
NOiv, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Political
Subdivision execute the aforesaid application and agreement
and submit the same to the Territorial Agency fo~ acceptance
and that the Territorial Agency be, and it hereby ls,
requested to include all of said eligible employees of the
Political Subdivis~.on in an agreement between the Territory
and the Federal Security Administretior for the coverage of
said employees under the insurance system established by
Ti tle 11 of the Federal Social Security Act, as amended or
as may hereafter be amended; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the prupose of said
applica.tion and agreement,

be, and ii/she hereby is, designated as the Authorized Agent
of the Political Subdivision and is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a said application and agreement, as
submitted, on behalf of the Political Subdivision and to
forward the same to the Territorial Agency for acceptance and
further action; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLEED, that said Authorized Agent is
further authorized and directed as the representative of the
Political Subdivision to conduct all negotiations, conclude
all arrangements and sign all agreements and instruments
which may be necessary to carry out the letter and intent of
t~e aforesaid application and agreement and in oonformity
with all applicable Federal and Territorial laws, rules and
